Jane O. Shenefiel, 76, of New Martinsville, WV went to be with her Savior on Saturday, March 18, 2017 while at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren, OH.

Jane was born June 4, 1940 in Brookville, PA; daughter of the late Willard and Ima Jean (Holt) Smith.

She was a homemaker who loved quilting and crafting, member of Methodist Women’s Circles, over fifty years of singing in the church choir, an active Garden Club member serving in Ohio, West Virginia, Oglebay and currently New Martinsville, recognized for participation and leadership activities in the American Cancer Society, chairperson of the founding committee that established the Wetzel County Relay for Life, leader for Reach for Recovery, Road to Recovery and Cancer Support program in Wetzel County, recognized as Cancer Volunteer of the Year for the State of West Virginia and member of New Martinsville United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband of fifty-seven years, Donald Shenefiel; one son, Stephen (Elizabeth) Shenefiel of Butler, PA; three daughters, Jennifer Jimenez of Warren, OH, Kellie (Rick) Amlin of Endicott, NY and Kathryne Shenefiel of Niles, OH; sister, Nancy (Roger) Stanley of Midland, MI; four grandchildren, Stephanie and Alexander Jimenez and Craig and Emily Amlin and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the New Martinsville United Methodist Church, 10 Howard Jeffers Dr., New Martinsville, WV where service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, March 23, 2017 with Pastor Sharlettta Green officiating.

Interment in Temple Cemetery in Hazen, PA at the convenience of the family.
