David Eugene Lipscomb, Sr., 68, of Lusby, MD formerly of New Martinsville, WV.

David was born June 15, 1952 in New Martinsville, WV; son of the late Bernard and Mary r. (Ullom) Lipscomb.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of David Lipscomb Sr. David was a family man who was loved by many. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was more than just a family man though, he was also the proudest Marine veteran anyone knew. David passed peacefully in his sleep April 4th 2021 at the age of 69. He will always be loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Howard Myers, James Lipscomb, Mary France Harton, Patricia Snodgrass, Virginia Whinland, and Julia (Cookie) Kelbough.

He is survived by his siblings Bernard Junior Lipscomb of New Martinsville, Robert Wright of Texas, Helen and James Agar, Jessie Thompson, Ellen Lipscomb of New Martinsville, and Carol Quinn of Sistersville. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren Paula and Michael Dantrassey, Virtue “Kimberly” Adam Clegg, Mikey Dantrassey, David and Margaret Lipscomb Jr., Lindsey Lipscomb, Joseph Andy Lipscomb Sr., Joseph Lipscomb Jr., Finn Lipscomb, Theo Lipscomb, Crystal Russell, Makaya Russell, and Lillian Russell. He will truly be missed. We are blessed to have been part of his time here on Earth. Thank you Lord for giving us this time. RIP David until we meet again.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2021. Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery.
